Sudden Strike 4 releases Digitally worldwide today. Experience some of the most heated battles during World War II in a Real Time Strategy fashion.
Today, Kalypso Media releases their fourth installment of the World War II Real-Time-Strategy game Sudden Strike 4 digitally on Steam with a North American retail and PlayStation Store release on August 15th, with the boxed retail version for PC, Mac, and Linux, and PS4 available across Europe. This is the first time Sudden Strike has received a multi-platform release.
Sudden Strike 4 will include the ‘Battle of Kursk’ DLC, a digital artbook and digital soundtrack with the physical Day One Edition for Windows PC, Mac, Linux. The PlayStation day one release will include a digital artbook and digital soundtrack, but both versions will feature reversible cover artwork designed by Game of Thrones artist Robert Simon.
Players will be sent you off on three extensive campaigns set amongst the battlefields of World War II. In a first for the Sudden Strike series, players will now be able to choose from nine individual commanders, such as George Patton or Bernard Montgomery. Each Commander will have a unique military doctrine to unlock valuable command and combat abilities. Commanding the British and American, German or Soviet armies, you will lead over 100 different units into battle, including the German Heinkel He111 bomber, the Russian T-34 tank, the British Hawker Typhoon fighter plane and even the notorious German Panzerkampfwagen VI “Tiger”.
Prove your tactical expertise in over 20 demanding single player scenarios, the challenge-focused skirmish mode, and the competitive multiplayer mode. A new reward system awards the player for clever play with skill points and bonus unlockable content.
Sudden Strike 4 offers countless ways to vanquish your opponents. Exploit the weak spots of tanks, set up an ambush, occupy buildings with infantry and snipers, out maneuver the enemy with clever positioning or unleash devastating air support – how you approach each mission is up to you!
